When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying,
LORD, wilt thou at this time restore
again the kingdom to Israel?
Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that
the LORD Jesus went in and out among us,
And they prayed, and said, Thou, LORD, which knowest the hearts of all
men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before
the great and notable day of the LORD come:
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the
LORD shall be saved.
For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the LORD always before my
face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The
LORD said unto my LORD, Sit thou on my right hand,
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made
the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both LORD and Christ.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are
afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the LORD added
to the church daily such as should be saved.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted
out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the LORD your God
raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in
all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one
accord, and said, LORD, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and all that in them is:
The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together
against the LORD, and against his Christ.
And now, LORD, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants,
that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of
the LORD Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to
tempt the Spirit of the LORD? behold, the feet of them which have buried
thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
And believers were the more added to the LORD, multitudes both of men
But the angel of the LORD by night opened the prison doors, and brought
them forth, and said,
And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the
wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the LORD in a flame of fire in a
When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to
behold it, the voice of the LORD came unto him,
Then said the LORD to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the
place where thou standest is holy ground.
This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet
shall the LORD your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto
me; him shall ye hear.
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build
me? saith the LORD: or what is the place of my rest?
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, LORD Jesus,
receive my spirit.
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, LORD, lay not this sin
to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in
the name of the LORD Jesus.)
Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, that none of
these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the LORD,
returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the
And the angel of the LORD spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go
toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza,
which is desert.
And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the LORD
caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his
And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the
disciples of the LORD, went unto the high priest,
And he said, Who art thou, LORD? And the LORD said, I am Jesus whom thou
persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
And he trembling and astonished said, LORD, what wilt thou have me to
do? And the LORD said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it
shall be told thee what thou must do.
And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him
said the LORD in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here,
And the LORD said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is
called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul,
of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
Then Ananias answered, LORD, I have heard by many of this man, how much
evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
But the LORD said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto
me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of
And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his
hands on him said, Brother Saul, the LORD, even Jesus, that appeared
unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest
receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared
unto them how he had seen the LORD in the way, and that he had spoken to
him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
And he spake boldly in the name of the LORD Jesus, and disputed against
the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and
Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the LORD, and in
the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the LORD.
And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the LORD.
And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, LORD?
And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a
memorial before God.
But Peter said, Not so, LORD; for I have never eaten any thing that is
common or unclean.
The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by
Jesus Christ: (he is LORD of all:)
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the LORD. Then
prayed they him to tarry certain days.
But I said, Not so, LORD: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time
entered into my mouth.
Then remembered I the word of the LORD, how that he said, John indeed
baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who
believed on the LORD Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand
And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were
come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.
And the hand of the LORD was with them: and a great number believed, and
turned unto the LORD.
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted
them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the LORD.
For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much
people was added unto the LORD.
And, behold, the angel of the LORD came upon him, and a light shined in
the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying,
Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety,
that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand
of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared
unto them how the LORD had brought him out of the prison. And he said,
Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed,
and went into another place.
And immediately the angel of the LORD smote him, because he gave not God
the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
As they ministered to the LORD, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said,
Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the
devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert
the right ways of the LORD?
And now, behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thee, and thou shalt be
blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on
him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by
Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished
at the doctrine of the LORD.
For so hath the LORD commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light
of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word
of the LORD: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
And the word of the LORD was published throughout all the region.
Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the LORD, which gave
testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to
be done by their hands.
And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed
with fasting, they commended them to the LORD, on whom they believed.
But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall
be saved, even as they.
That the residue of men might seek after the LORD, and all the Gentiles,
upon whom my name is called, saith the LORD, who doeth all these things.
Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our LORD Jesus
Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the
word of the LORD, with many others also.
And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit
our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the LORD,
and see how they do.
And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into
Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the LORD had called us for to preach
the gospel unto them.
And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of
Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the LORD opened,
that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying,
If ye have judged me to be faithful to the LORD, come into my house, and
abide there. And she constrained us.
And they said, Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be
saved, and thy house.
And they spake unto him the word of the LORD, and to all that were in
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is LORD
of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
That they should seek the LORD, if haply they might feel after him, and
find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the LORD with
all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were
Then spake the LORD to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but
speak, and hold not thy peace:
This man was instructed in the way of the LORD; and being fervent in the
spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the LORD, knowing
only the baptism of John.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the LORD Jesus.
And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which
dwelt in Asia heard the word of the LORD Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call
over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We
adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus;
and fear fell on them all, and the name of the LORD Jesus was magnified.
Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and
temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward
God, and faith toward our LORD Jesus Christ.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto
myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry,
which I have received of the LORD Jesus, to testify the gospel of the
grace of God.
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support
the weak, and to remember the words of the LORD Jesus, how he said, It
is more blessed to give than to receive.
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I
am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name
of the LORD Jesus.
And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the
LORD be done.
And when they heard it, they glorified the LORD, and said unto him, Thou
seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and
they are all zealous of the law:
And I answered, Who art thou, LORD? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of
Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
And I said, What shall I do, LORD? And the LORD said unto me, Arise, and
go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which
are appointed for thee to do.
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy
sins, calling on the name of the LORD.
And I said, LORD, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every
synagogue them that believed on thee:
And the night following the LORD stood by him, and said, Be of good
cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou
bear witness also at Rome.
Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my LORD. Wherefore I have
brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa,
that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
And I said, Who art thou, LORD? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern
the LORD Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
